Through the application of the signaling theory, this thesis aimed to fill in two gaps in existing literature by evaluating the effect of these factors on performance and determining whether host gender plays a moderating role. The research question was addressed using advanced statistical methods, specifically regression analysis, to provide a thorough understanding of the subject matter.
